Dolphins QB Chad Henne will get a second opinion on his left (non-throwing) shoulder that he injured in Sunday's loss to the Chargers. He did not practice on Tuesday.

According to NFL.com's Jeff Darlington, the team is concerned that Henne separated the shoulder and could be out for a while. Matt Moore replaced Henne in Sunday's game and completed 17-of-26 passes for 167 yards and an interception.

The Dolphins don't have another quarterback on their 53-man roster. Undrafted rookie QB Pat Devlin is on the practice squad.

Jason La Canfora reported that the team reached out to veteran free-agent QBs David Garrard and Jake Delhomme, but a deal with either QB is not expected.

The way we see it

The Dolphins are already 0-4, and while Miami fans may want to see what Moore can do as a starter, Henne is still the better option. There was a lot of pressure on Henne coming into the season after the team tried to trade for Kyle Orton. With Henne out, the team's chances at a miracle run decrease, as do his chances of remaining in Miami after this season.
