The Dolphins have ruled out CB Vontae Davis, RB Daniel Thomas and OLB Koa Misi for Sunday's game against the Chargers. All three had been listed as questionable, and Thomas and Misi did not practice on Friday.
This will be the second game in a row that Davis (hamstring) will miss. He was limited in Friday's practice. Misi (neck) and Thomas (hamstring) were not listed on the injury report until Thursday.
Thomas has 41 carries for 202 yards and a receiving touchdown in two games. He missed the season opener.
The way we see it
These are big losses for a team desperate to get its first win against a good Chargers squad. With Thomas out, Reggie Bush and newly acquired Steve Slaton will handle the workload, but Thomas is a much better option in between the tackles. Jason Taylor will likely start in Misi's place, which means more snaps than usual for the veteran. Nolan Carroll will likely start as the right cornerback in Davis' place.
