Despite leading the league in sacks taken (14), QB Jay Cutler was upright for most of the game in Week Three with only three sacks. If he can stay off his back, his numbers will improve. … Cutler has a slight chance to maximize his TD production this week as the Panthers are allowing 252 passing yards and 1.67 TDs to opposing quarterbacks.
Don't make much of RB Matt Forté's 0.2 yards-per-carry average in Week Three. In his first two games, he was gaining 4.6 yards per carry. He's facing a Panthers defense that's allowing 157.3 offensive yards (rushing plus receiving) and 0.67 TDs per game.
WR Earl Bennett (chest) is not going to play this week. That leaves slot duties to Dane Sanzenbacher, who, in the past two games, is averaging seven targets, four receptions and one TD. He's worth grabbing off the waiver wire.
Through three weeks, the Bears' tight ends have two TDs. Despite that, neither Matt Spaeth (2-7-1) nor Kellen Davis (3-55-1) is worth picking up, as their season numbers illustrate.
