Eagles QB Michael Vick will practice on Wednesday, head coach Andy Reid said.
Reid said that the swelling on Vick's bruised right hand has gone down and that he is able to grip the football, though not as strong as he's used to. The team will continue to monitor his progress.
It is still uncertain whether Vick will play in Sunday's game against the 49ers.
The way we see it
It's good news for the Eagles that the swelling has gone down, but Vick isn't a lock to play Sunday. However, if he continues on this path, things look promising.
Vick is clearly their best option at quarterback. While backup Mike Kafka played well against the Falcons in Week Two, he looked overmatched last week against the Giants.
The important thing for the Eagles is that when Vick returns, they protect him better than they have in the first three games.
