We hear Seahawks 2009 first-rounder Aaron Curry's recent demotion has as much to do with the impressive play of rookie K.J. Wright, his replacement as the starting strong-side linebacker, as Curry's ineffectiveness. "Wright really has been a lot better than they thought he'd be," said one source on the scene. Wright raised eyebrows with how well he played inside in place of the injured David Hawthorne in Week One. "It was like, 'Wow, look what we have here!' " the source said. "When Curry blew a couple of assignments in Pittsburgh, they decided to make the move." Curry's reaction to the move was hardly positive, and while we hear a possible trade — which he alluded to in a series of tweets — is unlikely, it will be a big surprise if he's back in Seattle in 2012. "The one thing he really does well is seal the edge in the run game," the source said. "But you need a lot more than that from a fourth-overall draft pick."
