Bengals WR Jerome Simpson is expected to play Sunday. Texans RB Arian Foster and Browns RB Peyton Hillis will be inactive.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported Sunday morning that, despite being excused from practice on Thursday and Friday, Simpson will play in Sunday's Week Three game against the 49ers. There was a drug bust at Simpson's home this past week. Police found over six pounds of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia in the home.
As for Foster, multiple media outlets are reporting that his injured hamstring will keep him out of his second game in three weeks. Ben Tate will carry the workload against the Saints, as RB Derrick Ward is out.
Hillis did not practice on Friday because of an illness, and ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that he will not play in Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Second-year RB Montario Hardesty will get a bulk of the carries with Hillis out.
