With Gabe Carimi out for at least a few weeks recovering from a knee injury, the Bears are giving Frank Omiyale the first shot to fill in at right tackle. Omiyale has experience — he's in his seventh season and started 28 games for the Bears over the previous two seasons — and Chicago went all the way to the NFC championship game with him playing left tackle for much of last season. Omiyale admitted this week that he was disappointed the Bears had moved him back into a reserve role in training camp.

"It was frustrating, but, like you said, decisions were made and my goal was just to get on board and make sure I made the team so I could be around for this situation," Omiyale said. "It's here. I want to make the most of it."

Lance Louis will be an option at right tackle when he recovers from an ankle injury and could step in there if Omiyale struggles.
