The Patriots ruled TE Aaron Hernandez (knee), ORT Sebastian Vollmer (back) and DT Mike Wright (concussion) out for Sunday's game against the Bills.

SS Patrick Chung (thumb) is listed as questionable, although it was reported on Thursday that he would miss the game.

Hernandez and Wright are not surprises, but Vollmer is. The third-year tackle missed the season opener but played in Week Two. Rookie Nate Solder will get his second NFL start in place of Vollmer.

DT Albert Haynesworth (back) was listed as questionable.

The way we see it

If Chung does indeed miss the game, that's the biggest loss, as he provides help against the run and the Patriots' safety group is thin and inexperienced. Solder will get an easier task facing the Bills' pass rush than the Dolphins, and he held his own against Pro Bowler Cameron Wake. With Hernandez out, look for Chad Ochocinco and possibly Taylor Price to get some more looks on offense.
