There have been numerous time frames mentioned as to when WR Danny Amendola might return from the dislocated left elbow he suffered in Week One. The best guess from our sources is another month, although Amendola is said to be making steady progress. "He's always making progress, that guy," head coach Steve Spagnuolo said of Amendola, whose absence hurts the Rams both in the slot, where he had become Sam Bradford's most reliable target, and in the kick-return game. "So many things were kind of undone in there so to speak. (We are) waiting for that to settle down, get a little bit of his strength back." Rookie Greg Salas, Amendola's replacement both in the slot and on returns, botched one punt return that led to a Giants touchdown in Week Two. That led many close observers to question why the Rams allowed the departed Mardy Gilyard to return practically all the kicks in the preseason instead of Salas.
