The Broncos signed TE Dante Rosario and waived rookie LB Mike Mohamaed, the team announced on Thursday. The Dolphins cut Rosario on Wednesday.
Rosario played in 16 games with six starts for the Panthers last season and had 32 catches for 264 yards. He spent the first four seasons of his career with Carolina.
Mohamaed was the team's sixth-round pick this past April.
The way we see it
Due to injuries to many of their top pass catchers, the team needed to add another tight end to their roster. Rosario was with Denver in traning camp and should be familair with the offense, having played under John Fox in Carolina.
Mohamaed didn't play much early in the season, though the team liked his versatility in camp to play all three linebacker spots. Expect him to be re-signed to the Broncos practice squad if he clears waivers.
