Giants WR-PR Domenik Hixon will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn ACL, the Giants announced Wednesday. This is the second time in two seasons Hixon has tore his ACL.

Hixon has four catches for 50 yards and a touchdown this season for the Giants. He also returned punts, averaging 10.3 yards on three returns.

The way we see it

While Hixon doesn't have the greatest name recognition, his loss is huge for a Giants team already dealing with a bevy of injuries.

With Hakeem Nicks banged up and Mario Manningham suffering from a concussion, the receiver position has gotten thin fast for the Giants. They signed Brandon Stokley, and he can help replaced some of the lost production from the slot, but it will be difficult to replace Hixon's contributions in the return game.
