DT Kevin Williams has served his two-game suspension and was activated to the Vikings' 53-man roster. To create room for him, the team released DE Adrian Awasom.
Williams had to sit out Weeks One and Two for violating the league's policy on performance enhancing substances. He tested positive more than three years ago for a banned substance, though, because of appeals, he didn't serve his suspension until this season. His punishment also includes not being paid for the next two games.
"I try not to think about it anymore," Williams told the AP on Monday. "It's become a numb feeling that I'll be out there for two weeks without pay. You all can take a pot if you like and I'll be more than happy to take it."
Awasom recorded three tackles in the Vikings' season-opening loss to the Chargers and was inactive for their Week Two game.
