Bills WR Roscoe Parrish will miss the rest of the season with an injured ankle suffered in Week Two, the team announced on Tuesday. WR Naaman Roosevelt was signed from the practice squad.

Parrish was carted off the field in the second quarter. He was blocking downfield on the play.

On Monday, head coach Chan Gailey said the injury was "more long-term than short-term, unfortunately."

The seventh-year veteran had one catch for 16 yards last season. He had a career-high 400 receiving yards last season even though he missed the second half of the season with a broken wrist.

The way we see it

Second-year WR David Nelson, who has been very impressive out of the slot, is a more-than-capable replacement, but losing Parrish hurts an already thin group that saw Lee Evans leave via trade and Marcus Easley land on I.R. Parrish will also need to be replaced on punt returns.

The team's No. 4 receiver is veteran Ruvell Martin. Look for the Bills to be on the market for another wideout.
