Here are the offensive, defensive and special-teams players of the week in the loss to the Buccaneers in Week Two"
Offense: RB Adrian Peterson — With 25 rushes for 120 yards and two TDs, as well as two catches for 21 yards, Peterson was a man among boys in the loss to the Bucs. He was more effective in the first half (15-83-2), bashing the Tampa Bay defense with punshing runs and running through tackle attempts several times.
Defense: CB Antoine Winfield — Winfield made a team-high 11 tackles, most of them withinn 10 yards of the line of scrimmage, including back-to-back big stops (including a loss of four on WR Mike Williams) as the Bucs were held to a field goal late in the third quarter. Winfield had a curious bout of missed tackles in Week One but unofficially whiffed on only one in this game. He was solid.
Special teams: P Chris Kluwe — In a game in which the Vikings were outplayed on special teams, unlike in Week One in which they held a big edge, Kluwe was solid with four punts for a 41.3-yard average and a 34.5-yard net that largely was sullied by one long Bucs return that can be blamed on poor tackling. Kluwe also held on two point-after tries and two field-goal attempts, all of which were successful.
