In addition to playing through a fractured rib, Cowboys QB Tony Romo has a punctured lung, according to multiple reports.
Romo missed most of the third quarter of Sunday's game against the 49ers. A hit from 49ers OLB Ahmad Brooks early in the game created the injury.
Romo returned and brought the Cowboys back, sending the game to overtime. He hit Jesse Holley for a 77-yard passing play setting up the game-winning field goal.
"I would not think there's any reason to think that he won't play Monday. We're certainly hopeful," Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said Monday.
Sources confirmed to ESPN Dallas that the punctured lung does not change Romo's status for next week.
