PFW executive editor and resident Packers expert Dan Arkush offers his prediction for the Week Two showdown vs. the Panthers in Carolina.
I think injuries are really going to take their toll on the Panthers — especially the loss of MLB Jon Beason, the heart and soul of the Carolina defense (season-ending ankle injury in Week One). In addition, Panthers OT Jeff Otah (head) will be missing from Carolina's offensive line, and I see the Green Bay defense really generating a good pass rush this afternoon and forcing a key turnover or two.
All in all, this one should be easy pickings, even if Tramon Williams is forced to miss his first game at the pro level. I could easily see 400 total yards from the offense, with RB James Starks and TE Jermichael Finley having particularly strong games.
Prediction: Packers 41, Panthers 20
