Jets head coach Rex Ryan didn't take much time naming Wayne Hunter the team's starter at right tackle, and Hunter didn't get much of a welcome party from Cowboys OLB DeMarcus Ware in Week One, as Ware beat Hunter for a sack. "It was really inconsistent from me. Some plays, I blocked (Ware) really well, and some plays I kind of let off a little too early," Hunter said. For Ryan and the Jets, it's crucial to keep QB Mark Sanchez upright, but Hunter isn't going anywhere. "We've got a ton of confidence in Wayne. Wayne's a great athlete. He did a great job against some of the best pass rushers in this league the last four games that he played for us," said Ryan. The Jets' depth on the O-line is thin, and second-year OL Vladimir Ducasse, who we thought would be able to compete to start at right tackle, clearly isn't ready. One insider pointed out how Ducasse was hurt more than most of the Jets' players by the lockout because he didn't have an offseason to work with O-line coach Bill Callahan to get that Year Two jump. Expect the Jets to continue using three tight ends, which they did often against Dallas, to help Hunter.
