The Patriots announced Friday that they have signed OL Nick McDonald to the practice squad. McDonald was released from the practice squad Thursday. To make room for McDonald, the Patriots released WR Kerry Taylor from the practice squad.

McDonald, a 6-4, 316-pound Grand Valley State product, originally joined the Patriots' practice squad on Sept. 5 after being released by the Packers. He was signed by Green Bay as a rookie free agent in April 2010. McDonald was inactive for all 16 regular-season games and four postseason games with the Packers last season.
