RS-WR Joshua Cribbs appears to have returned to top form after a disappointing 2010 season. A noted critic of the NFL moving the kickoff line of scrimmage up five yards, Cribbs' first kickoff return of the season went for 51 yards, his longest since 2009. Cribbs caught that kickoff eight yards deep and sprinted out; expect him to frequently return such kickoffs this season. He also had a 21-yard punt return vs. Cincinnati, longer than any of his punt returns a season ago. Cribbs took a pounding in 2010, suffering a concussion and multiple dislocated toes on his right foot, but he looked fresh and strong in the season opener. Cribbs "looks like he is back to his old self," said one NFL source who has studied Cribbs over the years. Also notable, according to the observer: Cribbs, an all-around wonderful special-teams player, is playing gunner on the Browns' punt team again.
