The Chiefs announced Friday that they have re-signed TE Anthony Becht and waived TE Jake O'Connell.

Becht was cut by the team on Sept. 5 after originally having made the final 53-man roster. The 6-6, 270-pound blocking tight end has appeared in 158 games (127 starts) with the Jets (2000-04), Buccaneers (2005-07), Rams (2008) and Cardinals (2009). He did not play in the league in 2010.

O'Connell, a seventh-round draft pick by the Chiefs in 2009, appeared in 20 games (four starts) in two-plus seasons in Kansas City.
