The Giants have added veteran WR Brandon Stokley, it was revealed by Stokley's agent Rick Smith on Wednesday.
Stokley, a 12-year NFL veteran, last played with the Seahawks in 2010. He previously played for the Ravens, Colts and Broncos, with his best seasons coming in Indy playing in the slot for Peyton Manning, including a career-best 2004 season with 68 catches for 1,077 yards and 10 touchdowns.
The Giants were looking for WR depth with No. 1 WR Hakeem Nicks currently hampered by a knee injury and Victor Cruz having struggled in the slot in Week One.
The way we see it
Giants QB Eli Manning is very familliar with Stokley and likely trusts the 35-year-old will run good routes, get open and catch the ball. It will be interesting to see how quickly Stokley can get onto the field for New York.
