Browns practice-squad FB Eddie Williams and RB Quinn Porter have been signed to other clubs' active rosters, Cleveland announced Wednesday, with Williams joining Seattle and Porter signing with St. Louis.

To replace Williams and Porter, the Browns signed RB Xavier Omon and FB Will Ta'ufo'ou to the practice squad. Omon, a sixth-round pick of Buffalo in 2008, has appeared in seven NFL games. The 49ers released him from their practice squad Monday.

Ta'ufo'ou was waived by the Bears on Sept. 6. His addition is the latest in a line of fullback-related moves connecting Cleveland and Chicago. To wit:

• The Bears waived Williams on Sept. 3, three days before they waived Ta'ufo'ou.

• To replace Ta'ufo'ou on the active roster, the Bears signed FB Tyler Clutts off Cleveland's practice squad.

• To replace Clutts, the Browns signed Williams to their practice squad.
