The Steelers officially placed ORT Willie Colon on injured reserve Tuesday and signed OT Jamon Meredith.

Colon underwent surgery for a torn triceps.

Meredith is a third-year pro who played in three games for the Giants last season. In 2009, he played in eight games with four starts for the Bills.
