Less than 24 hours after being stiff-armed on Wes Welker's 99-yard touchdown catch, CB Benny Sapp was released by the Dolphins.
Sapp's agent, Andy Simms, announced the release on Twitter.
Sapp, the team's slot corner, did help force a Tom Brady interception in Monday night's loss. He played in all 16 games last season for Miami with six starts. Sapp had 10 passes defensed and two interceptions.
He has played for the Chiefs and Vikings, as well, in his eight-year career.
