Green Bay rookie Randall Cobb tied an NFL record for the longest kickoff return, going 108 yards in the Packers' 42-34 season-opening win over the Saints on Thursday night.

On the third-quarter play Cobb was hit around Green Bay's 23-yard line and appeared to be going down, but he kept his balance and took off. Packers WR Jordy Nelson delivered a block on Roman  Harper that ensured the touchdown, which put the Pack ahead 35-20.

Cobb's return tied the record set in 2007 by the Patriots' Ellis Hobbs, who took a kickoff 108 yards against the Jets.
