Cowboys DT Jay Ratliff agreed to a five-year contract extension on Friday, according to the team. Multiple reports said that the deal is worth $40 million with $18 million in guaranteed money.

Ratliff, 30, had two years remaining on the contract he signed in 2007. He has been a Pro Bowler in each of the past three seasons and has not missed a start since 2007.

The seventh-year veteran has 25 career sacks, including 3½ last season. He also has 12 career fumble recoveries.
