The Vikings made some personnel moves on Wednesday, signing DB Domonique "DJ" Johnson and LB Tyrone McKenzie to the practice squad and releasing FB Matt Asiata and DL Cedric McKinley.

Johnson still has practice-squad eligibility despite playing in 10 games in 2009 and ’10 with the Giants. He also appeared on the roster of the Buccaneers last season. Johnson went undrafted in 2009 out of Jackson State after transferring from Missouri.

A former third-round pick of the Patriots in 2009, McKenzie was in contention for the Buccaneers' starting MLB job early in camp but was released when rosters were cut down. He missed his entire rookie season with the Patriots but played in three games down the stretch last season with the Bucs, making five tackles. McKenzie also had seven tackles and a pass defended in the fourth preseason game against the Redskins on Sept. 1.

By releasing Asiata, the team has no true fullback on the active roster or the practice squad.
