Texans announce cuts, including rookie

The Texans announced their cuts on Saturday afternoon, which included 2011 fifth-round pick Shiloh Keo.

Keo, a free safety out of Idaho, was drafted to help improve the team's secondary, but he failed to make the impact Houston coaches were hoping for.

Also released were: LB Xavier Adibi, LB Scott Albritton, LB Mister Alexander, C Howard Barbieri, DE Scooter Berry, SS Quintin Demps, WR Dorin Dickerson, LB Steven Friday, OG Andrew Gardner, DE John Graves, OT Pete Hendrickson, TE Anthony Hill, WR Trindon Holliday, LB Stanford Keglar, DE Damione Lewis, WR Jeff Maehl, P Brad Maynard, NT Guy Miller, RB Chris Ogbonnaya, FB Zac Pauga, OT Cole Pemberton, WR Derrick Townsel, C Cody Wallace, RB Javarris Williams and FS Torri Williams were all released.

Undrafted rookies LB Cheta Ozougwu (foot) and WR Terrence Toliver (concussion) were placed on I.R.
