As murky as the Rams' overall receiving situation seems to be, we hear the one guarantee is that second-round rookie TE Lance Kendricks will be counted on prominently. "He's going to be a big part of the offense," one team insider said of Kendricks, who had three TD catches in the preseason. "He was working with the starters from the start of camp and despite a reputation for getting nicked up, he held up well. He has good speed and hands and has been very effective off of play-action fakes. He's a bit undersized and is not an every-down guy, but he's a willing blocker. 'Spags' (head coach Steve Spagnuolo) has been trying to downplay how good the kid's been, talking about how the real speed of the game might catch up to him, but Kendricks was (Sam) Bradford's top target this preseason. If they can ever get (TE) Michael Hoomanawanui fully healthy, they could really be on to something."
