The Chargers signed LB Na'il Diggs to a one-year contract on Saturday.
Diggs, a 12th-year veteran, started 12 games at outside linebacker for the Rams last season. He was cut by St. Louis earlier in the week. At 6-4, 240 pounds, Diggs can play inside linebacker, too, and it's believed that the Chargers signed him to play an ILB spot.
He has 139 career starts, 602 tackles and 11½ sacks. He played the first six seasons of his NFL career with the Packers before moving to the Panthers for four seasons. The 2010 campaign was his lone season in St. Louis.
He's the third veteran linebacker acquired by the Chargers this offseason, joining Takeo Spikes and Travis LaBoy.
