Players will not be blood tested for human growth hormones before Week One games.

According to Mark Maske of The Washington Post, the league informed owners Friday that testing will not begin at the start of the season, the original target date.

The NFL and the NFLPA have yet to agree to testing procedures.

"Although the CBA reflects a commitment to implement (HGH) testing by the start of the 2011 regular season, it is apparent that we will be unable to do so because of the Union's continued refusal to accept the validity of the tests developed by the World Anti-Doping Agency that are used in Olympic sports and minor league baseball," Jeff Pash wrote in a memo to owners that was acquired by the Post.

When the two sides agreed on the new 10-year CBA, an HGH testing policy was agreed upon, just not the details.
