The Falcons agreed to terms on a one-year deal with former Patriots S James Sanders Tuesday night, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported.

Sanders' representatives confirmed the deal to PFW correspondent and Atlanta Journal-Constitution writer D. Orlando Ledbetter.

The Patriots cut Sanders on Monday. The veteran played in 84 games in six seasons with the Pats. In 2010, he started nine games and appeared in 15, recording 58 tackles, six passes defensed and three interceptions. He has eight career picks and has returned two for touchdowns.
