TE Anthony Becht signed a one-year deal with the Chiefs on Thursday. A former first-round pick, Becht has played for the Jets, Buccaneers, Rams and Cardinals.

"It's been a priveilege to play 10 years in the NFL. I love playing this game and I'm fortunate to get this opportunity. I will work my hardest to help the Chiefs this season. I would like to thank everyone for (their) support. … It's good to be back!" Becht wrote on Twitter.

Becht played in all 16 games with 10 starts for the Cardinals in 2009. He did not play last season. He had seven catches for 61 yards and a touchdown in the ’09 campaign and has 185 catches and 21 touchdowns in his career. Becht joins a TE group in K.C. that includes second-year pro Tony Moeaki and veteran Leonard Pope.
