The Jets announced Wednesday evening that they have signed former Northern Illinois S Tracy Wilson, who went undrafted in Monday's supplemental draft.

The team also claimed OT Nevin McCaskill off waivers from the Steelers and cut OL Chris Stewart and LB Brandon Long.

Wilson, a 6-2, 203-pounder started 17-of-32 games in three seasons at Northern Illinois, totaling 171 tackles, 3½ tackles for loss, four fumble recoveries and one interception.

McCaskill, a 6-4, 300-pound Hampton product entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Bills in 2007. Since entering the league, he has spent time with the Bills, Packers, Eagles, Dolphins, Titans, Steelers and previously with the Jets during their 2009 training camp.
