The Cardinals need a healthy arm and plan to sign QB Brodie Cryole on Tuesday, according to PFW correspondent and Arizona Republic writer Kent Somers.

Backup QB John Skelton suffered a right ankle sprain in Friday's preseason game against the Packers. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt said it looks like a high ankle sprain.

Max Hall has a left shoulder injury, leaving the Cards with Kevin Kolb and Rich Bartel as the only quarterbacks heading into their third preseason game.

Croyle spent five seasons as a backup in Kansas City. He started six games in '07, throwing for 1,227 yards, six TDs and six INTs. He played in two games last season.
