Former Vikings OT Bryant McKinnie has reached a two-year deal with the Ravens, pending a phsyical, the team announced Tuesday afternoon.
The Vikings cut McKinnie on Aug. 2. The former first-round pick began training camp on the non-football injury list before being released.
The Ravens signed former Patriots OT Mark LeVoir earlier in the week and drafted Jah Reid in the third round. They did not re-sign OT Jared Gaither.
McKinnie was a Pro Bowler in 2009.
The way we see it
It will be interesting to see where McKinnie will play on the Baltimore line. He played left tackle in Minnesota, but Michael Oher holds that position for Baltimore. McKinnie gives the Ravens an experienced option at left tackle if they want to move Oher to the right side, where he played as a rookie. Should McKinnie play right tackle, he figures to play ahead of Reid and Levoir.
