The NFL has apparently fined Lions DT Ndamukong Suh $20,000 for his hit on Bengals QB Andy Dalton in Friday night's preseason game.

"$20,000 REALLY???!!!!!!!!!!! #NFL #BIGFAIL" Suh tweeted on Wednesday.

Suh brought Dalton to the ground after the rookie QB had already lost his helmet and thrown the ball on the play late in the first quarter. Suh was given a 15-yard personal-foul penalty.

Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden said he thought the $20,000 fine was appropriate, according to PFW correspondent and Cincinnati Enquirer writer Joe Reedy.

Last season, Suh, the league's Defensive Rookie of the Year, was fined $15,000 for a hit on Jay Cutler in the regular season and $7,500 for a takedown of Jake Delhomme in the preseason.
