The Falcons signed veteran TE Reggie Kelly on Tuesday. Kelly spent the first four seasons of his career in Atlanta.

The 12-year veteran entered the NFL in '99 with the Falcons and played with the team before joining the Bengals in 2003. He played in all 16 games last season with 14 starts, recording 10 catches for 42 yards, the least productive season of his career.

Kelly, 34, has five career touchdown catches and is known mainly for his blocking ability.

Falcons TE Justin Peelle suffered a knee injury in the team's preseason opener against the Dolphins.
