The Packers officially announced the release of reserve LB Diyral Briggs early Monday afternoon. Briggs appeared in five regular-season contests and all four playoff games for the Packers in 2010 and registered eight tackles on special teams during the regular season.

He was claimed off waivers by Green Bay from Denver on Oct. 26, 2010.

One of a host of street pickups last season to make worthwhile contributions in what turned out to be a storybook season, Briggs primarily made his presence felt on special teams, but he had scant playing time otherwise.
