One of the biggest headlines to come out of Texans camp this offseason was the announcement that Mario Williams is being converted to a rush outside linebacker in Wade Phillips' new 3-4 defense. But Williams isn't the only Texans starter learning a new position. Glover Quin, the team's best cornerback a season ago, likely will be the Week One starter at strong safety alongside new FS Danieal Manning. We hear Quin's transition has appeared seamless in the early stages of camp and the Texans are extremely fired up about his potential. That Quin put in so much time working out with his teammates during the lockout only helped his cause. In addition to having the range and hitting ability to be successful, Quin demonstrated during unofficial minicamps his desire to be a leader in the secondary. With veteran CB Johnathan Joseph fighting through a groin injury in camp, Quin could be counted on to take on that role sooner than expected.
