The Steelers confirmed via Twitter that they have agreed to terms with former Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery on Thursday. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that it's a one-year deal.

The veteran spent seven seasons with the Jets before being cut last week. He had 41 catches for 433 yards and two scores last season in 14 games.

Cotchery's best season came in 2007, when he went 82-1,130-2. He underwent back surgery in February.

The way we see it

The Steelers have a stacked receiving corps with the addition of Cotchery, who joins Mike Wallace, Hines Ward, Emmanuel Sanders and Antonio Brown.

Sanders has been sidelined after surgeries on both feet and this might be insurance in case he is out longer than expected.
