The Lions added a veteran tackle on Thursday, signing Kirk Chambers, according to PFW Lions correspondent Chris McCosky of The Detroit News.

The team also waived/injured rookie Jeff Maddux.

Chambers, a seventh-year veteran, did not play in 2010. He played in 14 games with nine starts in '09 with the Bills and has appeared in 67 career games.

The Lions' depth at offensive tackle is thin, with Jeff Backus, Gosder Cherilus and Jason Fox all dinged up.
