The Chiefs landed PFW's best unrestricted free agent still available, signing former Ravens OT Jared Gaither.
When free agency began, it looked like Gaither was going to sign with the Raiders, but the team did not think he was healthy enough. Gaither missed all of 2010 with a back injury.
A fifth-year veteran, Gaither has started 28 games in his career. His former Ravens teammates FB Le'Ron McClain and NT Kelly Gregg also joined the Chiefs during free agency.
The way we see it
If he is healthy, Gaither can prove to be a big asset for the Chiefs, who still need depth at the tackle position. ORT Barry Richardson and OLT Branden Albert are the starters, but tackle was a big position of need for the Chiefs that could use an upgrade.
