The Chiefs announced they were awarded PK Todd Carter off waivers and signed WR Keary Colbert on Wednesday.

Colbert, a USC grad, has not played in an NFL game since 2008. In his rookie season with Carolina in 2004, Colbert had 47 catches for 754 yards and five touchdowns.

In '08, he played for the Broncos, Seahawks and Lions, combining for 12 catches for 116 yards and a score.

Carter played in one game last season for the Panthers and had one kickoff. He was waived by the Rams.
