Former Dolphins ILB Channing Crowder, who was released after the lockout, told Sid Rosenberg on WQAM in Miami that he is retiring from football.

Crowder, 27, has played in six NFL seasons, recording 469 career tackles. Last season he started all 11 games in which he played in for Miami.

According to Pro Football Talk, Crowder is serious about hanging up the cleats and wants to pursue a career in the media.
