The Dolphins announced Saturday morning that they have signed veteran free-agent OT Ray Willis. The team waived OT Micah Kia to make room for Willis on the training-camp roster.
The 6-6, 304 pound Willis spent his first six NFL seasons with the Seahawks. He started all 16 games at right tackle in 2009 before suffering a knee injury that sidelined him for the entire 2010 season.
He has played in 44 career games, with 26 starts.
The way we see it
The Dolphins continue to add veterans to their offensive line. The team signed OT Marc Colombo and moved Vernon Carey to right guard. Willis will be the team's top reserve tackle along with Lydon Murtha.
