WR Malcom Floyd, PFW's top unrestricted free agent still on the market, has agreed to a two-year deal with the Chargers, the team announced Friday.

It appeared that the Ravens and Cardinals were both interested in Floyd, but as the days went by, returning to San Diego became his best option.

Floyd, who was signed by the Chargers following the 2004 NFL draft as an undrafted free agent, hauled in 717 receiving yards and a career-high six touchdowns in 2010, even though he played in just 11 games. For his career, he has 134 catches for 2,314 yards (17.3 avg.) and 15 touchdowns in 62 games.

The way we see it

Floyd took his time testing the market, but with the WR market dried up, the Chargers clearly were his best option, not to mention a playoff contender. Philip Rivers must be pleased to have the 6-5, 225-pound Floyd back to complement Vincent Jackson.
