Colorado OT Nate Solder is the 31st first-round pick to sign his contract, as he agreed to terms with the Patriots on Thursday.

Aaron Wilson of first reported that the two sides had agreed to terms. Giants CB Prince Amukamara is the lone first-round pick who has yet to sign.

In PFW's 2011 Draft Preview, draft analyst Nolan Nawrocki said "Solder showed improvement late in the season but is still very much a project in the works, lacks the core strength to handle power and will require patience in the pros."

The Way We See It

Solder, a converted tight end, is a developmental prospect and likely the team's left tackle of the future. Since the Patriots re-signed veteran Matt Light, Solder does not have to be rushed into the lineup.
