PFW Patriots correspondent Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald says that the Eagles contacted WR Randy Moss after he had filed his retirement papers with the league and were willing to make him an offer to join Philadelphia's "dream team."
Rapoport also says that Moss flew to Boston recently to pay his respects to Patriots owner Robert Kraft and his family after the passing of Kraft's wife, Myra.
