WR Andre Johnson left the Texans' Tuesday morning practice with a dislocated left index finger, according to PFW Texans correspondent John McClain.
Johnson was running a slant route in an individual drill and leaped to catch a pass, with rookie CB Rashad Carmichael defending. The five-time Pro Bowler was unable to come down with the ball and came down shaking his left hand. He took off his glove and walked to the sideline, where a trainer examined him. He left the field on a cart.
Following the practice, head coach Gary Kubiak told reporters that he didn't know the severity of the injury but remained hopeful that Johnson would participate in the team's afternoon workout. McClain says that the finger was popped back into place and bandaged.
The way we see it
Depending on the severity of the injury, this could be a little bump in the road for Johnson and the Texans or a big problem for the team's top receiver and the offense as a whole if he were to be sidelined for a substantial amount of time.
